Dear Friends – Whilst we are in the midst of this Coronavirus drama we will be making some changes to our regular events. Kate will be meditating as usual every Wednesday at 6.30pm so you might like to sit then in the knowlege that it will be a shared experience albeit with a little space between us. For anyone who would like to refresh an existing or lapsed practice – or if you have never meditated and would like guidance – she is offering Skype sessions. Please email or phone. Planned special events will be postponed until further notice. As far as the regular shared satsangs for Adya, Eckhart and Rupert are concerned, given the wealth of material on line, we suggest you listen at home for the time being. Let us remember these words from Ram Dass: When you are fully present in the moment, there is no anticipatory fear, no anxiety because you are living here and now, not in the future. Namaste, may we be well and peaceful, Kate
Welcome to Vine Cottage, Hartfield, Sussex where we offer a quiet space in which to share satsang. Simon and Kate have been committed for many years to the practice of ‘enquiry’ as suggested by Ramana and it is a great pleasure to sharing this exploration with other seekers. Meetings are often small but ‘when two or three are gathered together,’ – magic happens.
If you are reading this page, no doubt you may be on a similar path and one on which you too will have had many adventures. All are warmly invited to gatherings which are free and friendly. Like so many, we have over the years been exploring the work of teachers such as J. Krishnamurti , Rupert Spira, Adyashanti, Eckhart Tolle, Mooji, Pamela Wilson, Tony Parsons, Alon Geva – among others. It is a great joy to offer a space in which to host teachings from these wise individuals and to meet like minded seekers of truth and wisdom.
Simon, who sadly died in 2018, was always an avid reader. His wonderful collection of books on the theme of Advaita, Buddhism, Zen is now available in the Library.
Kate was originally a TM teacher and remains particularly interested in meditation. She now hosts weekly group meditation for all who enjoy sharing a silent sitting. Her other passion is gardening and her dog Bonny (who attends all meetings apart from drumming which she dislikes!).
